I Am Tired

God, tonight, as I sit at my computer and write,
My body is aching and my muscles are tight.
I am tired.

I am not complaining, Lord, just wondering
If it is ok to tell you this concern.
I am tired.

There are so many things to be thankful for.
Being tired is not the worse thing that could happen, by far.
I am tired.

Father, because it has been a tough day,
I have been so busy; just a little time to pray,
To thank you for all the distractions that have come my way ...

The elderly women that came by and have talked non-stop.
There has been no time to run to the mailbox.

The phone has been ringing off the hook.
Friends needed for me to listen to them.
I needed to wash the clothes and, also, to cook.
I am tired.

Father, I am tired and just wanted to let you know
I am sorry that I have not had time to read your book.
Oh, how frustrating this day has been;
Listening, talking, cleaning, and cooking.

I am tired, dear Jesus, and thank you for your strength.
You have given me patience and contentment
That I am thankful for - that
No feelings were hurt (and that is in tack).
I am tired.
