My Brother
I know God looked down and
Saw that I needed a brother
To love me and protect me
Like no other.
He sent you into my life
For me to love and cherish.
I know that you were sent
By God, above ...
For me to be protected
And to be loved.
You are not just a brother
But a friend, indeed ...
Someone to teach me
And help me, along the way,
To be a better person;
From God not to stray.
An example you are
For me to follow.
You are much like the Father
To whom I adore ...
The one that came to be
The example for us.
I am so fortunate to have you
In my life, your shoulder to cry on,
Your protection from strife.
God is so good,
As I can plainly see.
You are the brother
That met my need.
Thank you for being all
That HE wanted you to be!!
