Deception

St Matthew 24:4
4). And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceived you.

He walked into the church with a suit and tie.
People looked at him and I wondered why.
Did they think that the suit had made him right.
They should have looked through their spiritual sight.
Could it have been the tie, how it matched perfectly with his shoes.
By not using their spiritual sight someone would be used.
Then he clapped his hand to every song.
Yet, I knew he was fake and didn't belong.
When the preacher would pray, he would call out to God.
I could see through his disguise, and it wasn't hard.
Whenever the preacher would give us a new scripture to find.
He was the one that took the least time.
Whenever you looked, he always had a bright smile.
He shook everyone's hand as he walked down the aisle.
So what was the purpose of this you might say.
What is good is not God that's why we should pray.
See a drunk alcoholic stumbling to his feet.
Could not walk into the church and start doubt and disbelief.
Who would listen to what the drunk had to say.
No one, so he couldn't cause anyone to loose their way.
The man who had walked in with the perfect suit and tie.
Had already caught half of the church's eye.
That's why as Christians, we should keep our eyes on God.
Making the devil's job of deception extra hard.

2 Timothy 3:13
13). But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Titus 1:10
10). For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
