| No-One There |
| As I reached out to hold her hand, In the middle of the night, She lay, so soft, beside me. Oh, what a beautiful sight. Her breath blew warm, across my chest, While she snuggled close to me. A veil of goodness I can't describe, But one I could plainly see. She whispered, softly, in my ear (How deep her love for me) That none would come between us And we would always be. The room began to radiate With the sound of loves sweet bliss; Her soft sweet lips touching mine, Longing to be kissed. I could sense the desire for passion Swelling from deep inside. We held each other, oh, so tight; Sharing our love throughout the night. My being was filled with contentment and joy, Of which I had not known. Emotions overwhelmed me. At last, my heart was home. Then awakened by a sound of silence Of which I was unaware, Suddenly, I, then, realized There had been no one there. |
