| Remember Your Family and Friends (11 September 2001) |
|
The holiday seasons will be unlike One's that we've known before. Many have lost their loved one's In September's act of horror. They had no prior warning That they would be left alone; With empty hearts and shattered dreams, And tears to fill their homes. Lost Mother's and Father's, Sister's, Brother's, and Friends We cannot share our Love with. The heartache will never end. Where do we find the Courage, And the Strength, from within our Heart, To carry on the best we can; When our world has fallen apart. We must be strong and continue on With our lives the best we can. The one's who are lost, forever, Would insist on us taking that stand. It wasn't God that brought about The suffering and the pain, But men, from earth, with evil minds And whose actions were so insane. Starting anew, with gratefulness, Will be difficult at best. Showing faith in the Lord, above, I'm sure will put us to test. If only we can remember What our loved one's would have to say. Be strong in life and carry on. Do not be led astray. We know that our loved and lost one's Are looking down, from above. They are trying, hard, to tell us, "Do not give up on love." For, if we do, the world would turn cold. We'd turn our backs away. Our fight for freedom would be lost. We must not have it that way. |
