| We Are God's Children |
| Come children and gather round me. Listen carefully to the words I've found. It tells the story of God's only Son, How, for us, His love surrounds. He was conceived by the Virgin Mary, Who was blessed by an angel of God. And some, who heard the news of His birth, Ventured forth with their holy rod. He was born in a wee little manger With Joseph there, too, by His side And Mother Mary holding Him close. Her tears she could not hide. Men traveled far to see this Child, To see what the earth may behold. They followed God's angel to find Him, Bearing gifts that they would unfold. The Christ Child was blessed with much wisdom, Received from His Father above, Giving Him the words to preach with While spreading His Heavenly Love. There were those who would choose to follow And those who chose just to jeer. Twelve men He would name disciples, Who would always be close and walk near. Many miracles were performed by Jesus As he traveled from town to town, Bringing sight to those who were blind; Healing lepers who had gathered 'round. There are many stories of Jesus, Too numerous to mention here. If you follow the path He has given, Then you will have nothing to fear. |
