Without You

I wonder what I'd ever do
Without you by my side.
My tears would flood a river.
They'd call it 'Tear Stained Rise'.

And, when its banks would overflow,
While taking a saddened course,
The sun would stop from shining ~
While feeling great remorse.

The sun, you see, had hid its face,
Disappearing behind the clouds;
Not knowing that, by doing so,
Pain would be heard aloud.

The clouds would also hide their face,
For providing refuge to the sun.
Even the trees felt pain inside,
Their roots had just been stunned.

The tears, you see, had soaked so deep,
'Causing nutrients to be lost.
Their branches, and the leaves upon,
Had paid a heavy cost.

The very earth was flooding, now,
As tears continued to fall.
The only hope was God, above,
To bring an ending to it all.

He set the sun back in it's place
And spread the clouds apart.
The trees He blew His breath upon,
Commanding a brand new start.

The sun, now, shines it's rays, once more,
As the clouds drift lazily by.
The leaves are out in blossom, now,
As my whole world breathes a sigh.
